Housing Needs Survey in Snainton and Brompton by Sawdon Scarborough

Published: Thursday 10 December 2020

A housing needs survey is underway in the parish of Snainton and Brompton by Sawdon of Scarborough Council.  There is a concern about the lack of affordable housing in rural areas for people on average incomes, resullting in many people having to leave their village to seek housing elsewhere.  If a need for more housing is established this will help the council determine the number of homes needed. People in housing need are invited to take part in the survey, if a need is identified, then a public consultation day in Snainton Parish for all residents will be held to comment on any proposed scheme.  The survey is open on line at www.scarborough.gov.uk/consultation or via the QR code or by contacting the rural housing coordinator Colin Huby at colin.huby@scarborough.gov.uk or by calling 01723 232538 This survey will close on 15th January 2021
