To apply for properties through HomeChoice you will need to complete an on-line application form using the register or log in button at the top of the screen.
Before you proceed with your application please read our Privacy Notice. This will explain why and how we use your data.
You will need to provide names, addresses and dates of birth of any adults and children living in your current property and any who will be moving with you and you will also need the National Insurance numbers for any adults you currently live with or will be moving with. You will also need to provide details of where you have been living for the past five years. It would be best to have this information ready before you start your online application. Once you have completed your application form, we will need to complete some checks to confirm you are both eligible and qualify for the NYHC register. For information on eligibility and qualification please click here
In order to prove that you are eligible to apply for social housing you will be asked to provide proof of your current address, national insurance number (for everyone over 18 in the household), proof of child benefit for any dependent children, and ID for any adults (preferably a passport or photo driving licence or birth certificate). Additional items, such as references may be required and you will be advised what additional information you will need to provide.
Once your application has been accepted on to the housing register we will write to tell you:
You must keep your application up to date and advise us of any change in your circumstances so that your application can be re-assessed.
Any offer of a property may be withdrawn if it is evidenced that a change of circumstance has not been disclosed.
