Founding Partners of North Yorkshire Home Choice
Founding Partners of North Yorkshire Home Choice are the former district and borough councils of Craven Richmondshire Hambleton Ryedale Scarborough Selby and large scale voluntary transfer housing landlords of Beyond Housing, Broadacres Housing Association and Yorkshire Housing. From 1st April 2023 our local authority district and borough councils joined together to form part of the new North Yorkshire Council.
NYHC also works with other Registered Social Housing Landlords who offer available properties to rent across the partnership area via local authority nominations using a single shared housing register

North Yorkshire Home Choice History -
Broadacres Housing Association are the stock holders for the former Hambleton Council and operate the housing register on their behalf.
Yorkshire Housing Association are the stock holders for the former Craven Council and Ryedale Council and operate the housing register on their behalf
Beyond Housing are the stock holders for the former Scarborough Borough Council and were previously known as Yorkshire Coast Homes, prior to a merge with Coast and Country on
the 1st October 2018. Beyond Housing operate the register on behalf of the former Scarborough Borough Council
City of York Council, a former, partner, left North Yorkshire Home Choice to oeprate their own housing register and allocations policy in April 2022.
On 1st April 2023 former North yorkshire Home Choice Partner Local Authority District & Borough Councils of Craven Richmondshire Hambleton Ryedale Scarborough & Selby joined together (along with Harrogate Council)* to form the new North Yorkshire Council. * At the present time North Yorkshire Home Choice does not allocate houses in the former Harrogate Council Locality
