We have some important updates that we wanted to share with you which might be relevant if you need to move within North Yorkshire:

• New allocations policy: Starting in April 2025, North Yorkshire Council and our Registered Provider partners will have a single allocations policy for all of North Yorkshire. This means a more streamlined and consistent approach for everyone.
• Harrogate joins North Yorkshire Home choice: Exciting news for Harrogate residents! You will now have the opportunity to look for housing across the entire North Yorkshire Council area. This change opens up more options for everyone.
• New applications needed: If you’re from Harrogate, you’ll need to submit a new application to North Yorkshire Home Choice once the new policy is in place. But don’t worry, we’ll be here to help you every step of the way. There will be plenty of support available to make this process as smooth as possible. 
• Stay informed: We’ll keep you updated with more information in the new year. You can find updates on the North Yorkshire Council and North Yorkshire Home Choice websites, so be sure to check those regularly.
