Housing Needs Survey in Snainton and Brompton by Sawdon Scarborough

Published: Thursday 10 December 2020

A housing needs survey is underway in the parish of Snainton and Brompton by Sawdon of Scarborough Council.  There is a concern about the lack of affordable housing in rural areas for people on average incomes, resullting in many people having to leave their village to seek housing elsewhere.  If a need for more housing is established this will help the council determine the number of homes needed. People in housing need are invited to take part in the survey, if a need is identified, then a public consultation day in Snainton Parish for all residents will be held to comment on any proposed scheme.  The survey is open on line at or via the QR code or by contacting the rural housing coordinator Colin Huby at or by calling 01723 232538 This survey will close on 15th January 2021
